When it comes to Living Card Games (LCG), players are a little hesitant to jump into these games because they are aware that it will be followed up by expansions. In other cooperative LCGs (i.e. Lord of the Rings, Arkham Horror), fans feel overwhelmed with the regular releases of expansions. To improve your card pool with key cards, you will have to religiously purchase the packs which contains both scenarios and hero cards. This is not the case with Marvel Champions.

The publisher, Fantasy Flight Games, seem to have remedied this matter by separating Scenario packs with Hero Packs. If you wish to purchase additional heroes that you can use, then you don't have to buy a Scenario pack. Conversely, if you are happy with the heroes you have in your card pool but want a different gaming experience then you can just purchase the Scenario Pack.

"Green Goblin" is the first Scenario Pack released for this game. It introduces a new villain in the form of Norman Osborn (a.k.a. the Green Goblin). This expansion comes with two scenarios --- Risky Business and Mutagen Formula --- both of which offer unique gaming environments.

In "Risky Business', your heroes must engage Norman Osborn while his corporate enterprise devise evil schemes against the public. This game requires a good balance between removin threats from Schemes and dealing combat damage. To defeat this scenario, your heroes must force Norman Osborn to take on his villainous persona, the "Green Goblin".

The second scenario, "Mutagen Formula", has the Green Goblin releasing a mutating agent into the public turning them into goblins. Compared to the first scenario, this is more combat-oriented but harder to defeat.

***Side Note: This pack comes with modular sets (which you add to the Encounter deck to spice things up) --- Goblin Gimmicks, A Mess of Things, Power Drain and Running Interference. I particularly like the last three as it now introduces members of the Sinister Six into the game (Scorpio, Electro, and Tombstone). These modular sets can be added into the Encounter Deck of other Villains/Scenarios
